Nice and sunny out. Very calm. We motored over to Bedwell for customs check in. Fast service on the phone like 15 seconds to answer then only a couple of minutes to process. We motored out then headed to Otter Bay on North Pender Island. We stopped in to see Brian who now has his boat there. He used to be at my marina just in front of me. He was working on his cockpit area for getting the varnish off, mostly with a heat gun. We visited their cabin and other buildings. Then came back to the boat. We motored out for a bit then 8 miles of sailing to Ganges on Saltspring Is. We used the small dinghy in hopes of using the small 2.2 hp Mercury but it seemed to be leaking gas near the carburetor and would not start. We rowed in at Ganges and did some shopping at 8pm. A little bit of internet but the coffee shop was closing up. No clouds in the sky.

Got a call from Marshall who we are buddy boating with soon when we meet near Echo Bay. He’s hoping to get to Shoal Bay near Dent Rapids by tomorrow. Presently in Squirrel Cove on Cortez Island per a phone call I got while in town. Sail 8.0, 144.2 total nm.
