trackback

Alarm went off at 6:30am, we left at 7:18am. Low clouds but at least not fog. Seas are a bit short and choppy. We sailed over to Banks Island, then tacked but then motored in the leeward part of the channel. We took hot showers with the motor running that heats up our water tank, felt good. As we got further north seas got pretty rough and winds were 18 to 30 apparent. Sometimes the current would be with us other times against us. As we got further north fog started to roll in a bit then the sun came out. We came into Larsen Harbour and could see another boat inside. It was s/v Lively from back in Althorp Cove. Larsen entrance is a bit tricky with waves pushing you as you come in and several course changes. We anchored and I went over to talk to Chris. Tenacity came in about two hours later. We finished off the crab and soup plus salad and bread for dinner. Plan is to get up at 4:30 and leave about 5am. Weather update is about 4:30am. At this point they are saying 15 – 25 kts with 1 to 2 meters. It looks calmer out there and then you hear gusts in your rigging. 6.4 miles of sailing, 55.1 total for the day, 11 hrs, 19 mins, 689.4 trip miles.
