This weather is unbelieveable for the Queen Charlotte’s so far. Another sunny day and no fog in the morning. We motored to McEchran Cove and then sailed to Echo. There is a distint echo near the entrance. We set a crab pot on the way in. After anchoring a power fishing boat for Prince Rupert but on vacation set loose five kayaks to check out the saltwater lagoon and surrounds. I took Marshall’s kayak out also. Ran into John P. Dean and wife Susan kayaking and looking for a campsite. This place was too crowded for them so I told them about McEchran and Anna Inlet just a few miles away. Judy and I checked out the crab pot and found a good sized rock crab we used for an appetizer. Judy took the kayak out for a spin, then Marshall. At least two folks from the fishing boat went for a dip in the sound. We heard screams just after jumping in but they stayed in longer than I would of. We had BBQ’d salmon for dinner with pesto and mayo on it. Just at dusk another sailboat came in. 1.7 sailing, 935.4 total. 6.3 total for the day.
