8-9-09 Sun, Koskimo Islands Cove August 12, 2009

“A” per Dreamspeaker Cruising Guide. We checked out East Cove Koprino Harbour and it was very nice with two spots to anchor with views and a giant meadow. We saw a humpback whale splashing doing jumps, tail slaps, and fin slaps. We started motoring toward him and got way closer but then he stopped his antics. Marshall had his anchor all set up so we headed into the anchorage. A sport fishing boat just ran thru the islands at full speed very near Marshall’s stern on Tenacity. It was misty and down right rain once in a while today. Then it stops and starts again. Earlier in the day the fish bite was on big, but about 2pm it slowed down and stopped. We tried a mile from the lighthouse for fishing as we were cruising through at 4:45pm. We had BBQ’d salmon with salad and couple of cookies for dessert. 13.2 miles motor, 1243.1 trip miles, no sailing.
