trackback

Heavy rain at times overnight.  Blue skies in the morning but now cloudy.  We’re headed to Esperanza Inlet.  We took the Clear Passage route that is near shore.  Combined seas were reported as three meters but they sure seemed bigger.  We put up part of the main to dampen the rolling.  Winds were against us most of the way at 18 to 20.  Finally got some sailing in for 7.8 miles near the end.  We saw one whale pretty close.  We put a crab pot down as there were a couple of others.  Now anchored in Queen Cove with about three houses in the area.  We setup the dinghy and took a river tour up the Park River at high tide.  Pacific Swift, a classic, with full sails up came into their anchorage just outside our cove as we came back.  Trip 1412.3
