9-1-09 Tuesday – Ucluelet, 52 Step Dock September 6, 2009

Posted by captnmike in The Queen Charlottes 2009.

Motored out of Tofino to Ucluelet. Wind was from the south as we were heading south and shallow water made for steep seas for most of the first half of the trip. Our bow kept dipping into the waves and getting green water up on the deck. We now know my front hatch to the head leaks a bit. We need to reseal it. Saw a whale near Radar Beaches in heavy seas no less. I did great without meds for seasickness. Judy always does great. Winds were 22 to 26 on the nose apparent. We arrived at 52 Step Dock at 5:15pm. We walked around town some. Had dinner at the Canadian Princess, a floating ship in the harbour. Then walked around some more and headed back to the boat. Trip 1577.6 for motoring 25.6.
