9-9-09 Wednesday – Causeway Floats, Victoria September 11, 2009

Posted by captnmike in The Queen Charlottes 2009.

Wednesday the weather changed to drizzle almost rain at times. We hiked to town and the museum. Museum was pretty good but the cottage and lighthouse were closed for tours. We headed back to the boat and motored to Victoria against the current of about a knot. I headed in close to the shore and we did great. Maybe the current changed. We came into the City of Victoria Causeway Floats in front of the Empress Hotel. Ibis a Northern Pacific was almost blocking our slip entrance. They are headed to a Northern Pacific Rendezvous at Pender Island. They gave us their visitor info for the dock that has the codes and such. We stopped by the shower facility. Then headed to the town area. A new place has opened up called The Bard and Banker. A Scottish theme restaurant. We ended up at the The Irish Times with a live Irish group called Black Angus. Had dinner and a pint while listening to the music.
