Fish Petroglyphs

We visited this on Tuesday 5-6-14

Not far from the harbor, take the road toward town, there are some signs picture 1, turn right to another sign 2 about a block away on the left, about an 1/2 an hour up this mud road is a water catchment system on the right with pipes leading out, keep going on the road you cross a small stream then about 100 feet are a couple of mango trees with two signs on the left.

Follow the path, look for trail marker tape, rock cairn, and finally a path goes up a creek without water when we went to a large bolder. This boulder is about the size of a dump truck and about an hour from the paved road. Prolific carvings on two sides, including stylized human figures. There is also a trail that leads up a small hill to an overgrown tohua sporting a tiki carved in bas relief in the side of a stone platform that we didn’t know about and missed.

We visited the pizza place again last night.
