Judy cruised about 30,000 miles back in the early 80’s on a friends 60’ ketch, David and Carol’s that they built in Richmond, BC. David grew up in Whanganui, NZ. While in the town we were trying to find his parents house that was sold. David and Carol were visiting his uncle in another town, but they saw us pass them in town after coming back. We stopped at a small café for a while to talk. They are on vacation here from Canada. The ketch has another owner located in Campbell River, BC.

We stopped at Castlecliff Beach earlier but it looked like a storm going on out on the water. There were lots of tumbleweeds blowing in the wind. Here’s a picture of downtown Whanganui that we walked around for a while.

We headed to Wellington the capital of NZ. Stayed at a Top 10 Campground, then caught an Interislander ferry, on Friday 29th, to Picton on the South Island. I took a picture of a similar Interislander ship as we were getting close to Picton.

Was in Blenheim, about 27 km south of Picton, South Island back on 31st.

Now in Havelock for two days 2 – 4 & 5 -16
